How do I activate my Personal Code?
Visit www.RefundSelection.com and click on the box that says, “Let’s Get Started!” Enter your Personal Code in the box at the top. From there, you can choose your refund method.
Do I really need to activate my Personal Code? I don't ever expect to get a refund.
Yes, please activate your Personal Code. Even if you don't expect a refund, you may in fact need to receive one at some point, like if a class gets canceled.
I really see no need for my Personal Code. Can I just throw it away?
Please do not throw away your Personal Code. BankMobile will be disbursing refunds for BRCC and this Personal Code allows you to choose your preferred refund method as well as check on the status of your refunds, change your refund preference and other services. Without the code you do not have any refund options or access to information.
You said this Personal Code will give me options to receive my refund faster. What are my options and how much faster will I get my money?

Direct deposit to a BankMobile Vibe student checking account = Money received the same day it is released to BankMobile from BRCC.
Direct deposit to another bank = 2 to 3 business days via direct deposit
Printed paper check = 7 to 10 business days (or more) via U.S. Postal Service
You make no refund selection or do not activate your Personal Code = Paper check will be mailed via U.S. Postal Service to the address that the college has on file for you.
The BankMobile Vibe student checking account option requires you to open a checking account. As you would when opening any bank account, please read carefully the agreement terms and fees.
What happens if I don't select a refund preference?
If you do not select a refund preference BankMobile will mail a paper check to you. This check will be mailed to the address that the college has on file for you so be sure that you verify that your address information is correct in the Registrar's Office to avoid mailing issues. However, It is recommended that you activate your refund preference when you receive your Personal Code so that you can make your own refund choice.
When do I need to activate the Personal Code?
Activate your Personal Code as soon as the green envelope arrives in your mailbox. Activation is easy. Just visit RefundSelection.com and enter your Personal Code.
What is the BankMobile Vibe student checking account? Do I need that?
After you activate your Personal Code, you will receive an offer for an optional BankMobile Vibe student checking account. BankMobile Vibe is a bank account relationship between you and BankMobile, and NOT managed or operated by Blue Ridge Community College. If you choose to open a BankMobile Vibe account, please read the fee schedule carefully. You do not need to open a BankMobile Vibe account to receive refunds.
What if I didn't receive the green envelope with my Personal Code?
Your green envelope is mailed to the address on file in the Registrar's Office. If you did not receive your envelope, please verify your current mailing address with the Registrar's Office
When will I get my Financial Aid refund?
The schedule for disbursing funds is announced by the Financial Aid Office.
