Blue Ridge Community College Concert Series begins October 17

The Blue Ridge Community College Concert Series will commence its 25th season with a performance by pianist Kevin Ayesh on Tuesday, October 17 at 7:30 P.M. in Thomas Auditorium. The program will feature sonatas by Mozart and Chopin, as well as an impromptu by Fauré. A reception will follow the concert, with cake provided by Chef Dan Knapp of Lake Pointe Landing Retirement Community.
Kevin Ayesh has presented recitals and master classes at colleges and universities throughout the United States, as well as in Canada, Germany and Hong Kong. He has been a prizewinner or finalist in several national and international competitions, and has appeared as a concerto soloist with many orchestras in western North Carolina. A former North Carolina Visiting Artist, Dr. Ayesh has been BRCC's Music Instructor since 1992. He received his Bachelor of Music degree with highest honors from the University of Texas; his master’s and doctorate degrees are from the University of Maryland.
Admission to the concert is $10, payable at the door; admission for all students is only $5. Season tickets for the entire series of six concerts are available at $50. All concerts feature open (non-reserved) seating. Proceeds benefit the college's Personal Enrichment Program. Thomas Auditorium is located in the Sink Building on BRCC’s Henderson County campus.
