New Student Orientation


All new students enrolling at Blue Ridge Community College should complete a new student orientation.

During orientation, students will be introduced to valuable campus resources and information, including instructions for setting up WebAdvisor and Webmail.

You may choose to complete the New Student Orientation online or register to attend a Face-to-Face New Student Orientation session on campus using the online form below.

Face-to-Face New Student Orientation:

New Student Orientation sessions are offered on campus computers with staff assistance during the following times with no appointment necessary:

  • Transylvania County Campus (Brevard):
    Monday, May 16,  1 to 4 p.m.,  TRCS Room 115
  • Henderson County Campus (Flat Rock):
    Tuesday, May 17,  9 a.m. to 6 p.m.,  TEDC Room 102


Typical time to complete the on-line orientation is about one hour. You can drop in during any of the above posted times.


This orientation does not replace the Moodle Orientation. Students in online and/or hybrid classes must also complete the Moodle Orientation. You will need to log into Moodle and then click the Orientation link in the menu bar.
