Henderson County Partnership for Economic Development. The Henderson County Partnership for Economic Development (HCPED) is a public/private partnership that serves as the professional economic development organization for Henderson County.
Transylvania County Economic Development Board. The Transylvania County Economic Development Board actively support a diverse mixture of existing and new businesses in order to retain and create new jobs, increase the tax base, and promote an attractive community that is responsive, caring and sustainable.
Mountain Area Workforce Development Board. The Mountain Area Workforce Board (WDB) is a partnership of private business executives and the leading workforce development organizations in Buncombe, Henderson, Madison and Transylvania counties of western North Carolina. The purpose of the WDB is to provide policy, planning, oversight and funding for local workforce development programs and address workforce issues as they emerge within the region.
North Carolina Department of Commerce. The N.C. Department of Commerce is the state's leading economic-development agency, working with local, regional, national and international companies. The department’s mission is to improve the economic well-being and quality of life for all North Carolinians. The mission is carried out by serving existing business and industry, including providing international trade assistance; recruiting new jobs and domestic and foreign investment; encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation; marketing North Carolina and its brand; supporting workforce development; strengthening communities; and promoting tourism, film and sports development. The Department also provides data, statistics, information and reports for state government and agencies, which regulate commerce in the state.
North Carolina Division of Social Services. We work in cooperation with the Social Services Commission, the 100 local Department of Social Services and other public and private entities to protect children, strengthen families, and help all North Carolinians to achieve maximum self-sufficiency.
North Carolina Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services. The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services provides counseling, training, education, transportation, job placement, assistive technology and other support services. These services are provided to people with physical, psychiatric or intellectual disabilities and to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing or have other communicative disorders to assist them with living independently and with finding a job and staying on the job.
