John Curtis

 

Dr. John Curtis

John founded IOD, Inc. in 1986 and has developed a proven track record in bringing sound organizational principles and leadership practices to hundreds of public, private and nonprofit organizations nationwide. He has 30+ years experience providing a wide array of consulting services to organizations of all types and sizes.

 

He also teaches strategic planning, leadership development, change management and fundraising for the Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership at Rollins College in Florida, the Georgia Center for Nonprofits and the Duke Nonprofit Management Program in North Carolina and Virginia.

 

Dr. Curtis is an accomplished facilitator. His understanding of human behavior, group dynamics and organizational development enable him to balance the interests of various, diverse constituents in a group setting. He is an expert in facilitating the interaction among participants, promoting cooperation, encouraging constructive dialogue, expediting problem solving, and providing overall direction as needed in a wide variety of settings.

Angela Owen

Angela Owen has years of experience in the business world with international corporations and SMEs as well. She is passionate about living a life of purpose, meaning and success. Drawing upon her personal experience, knowledge and expertise, Angela delivers practical yet dynamic leadership development to audiences around the world.

 

Prior to being the founding Partner of TBL Leadership Partners, she worked for Procter & Gamble for 14 years where she held a variety of positions in manufacturing operations, business leadership and human resources.  Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University, Angela has excellent problem solving and business skills.  Additionally, she is an outstanding communicator who speaks with enthusiasm, experience and a passion to grow and develop people.

Cheryl Jones Janoski

Cheryl Jones Janoski has more than twenty years experience designing and implementing performance management and improvement systems in large, complex organizations.  A national Baldrige Examiner for seventeen years, Cheryl uses the Baldrige Framework for Excellence to teach and coach leaders on effective ways to improve their organization’s performance in the areas of leadership, strategy, customers, measurement, knowledge management, workforce, and operations, leading to improved outcomes for all stakeholders.

Millicent Burke-Sinclair

Passion, Excellence, and Integrity are three key pillars which guide Millicent into leading, educating, and mentoring others. With a passion for supporting individuals on discovering and living their cause and purpose, engaging all individuals so excellence through performance becomes the norm, and by demonstrating a commitment to integrity, respect, and wellness she inspires and sets a standard for lifelong learning and advancement. Millicent holds a doctorate degree in education emphasizing on adult learners and a MBA. She has an advanced certification in Business and Marketing Education from NC State and is certified from both HRCI and SHRM with the designations of SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) and SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional). Millicent is currently advancing her education through the Thayer Institute’s Healthcare Executive Leaders’ Masters certification program. She has been a higher education educator for over 9 years and now serves as the Vice President of Employee and Volunteer Solutions for the nationally respected, award-winning hospice and palliative care non-profit organization, Four Seasons Compassion for Life.

Laura Moushey

Laura holds a master’s in Human Resources Development from Western Carolina University and an undergraduate degree in business administration from Meredith College.  She also holds the SHRM-SCP certification.  She brings to her students an extensive background in HR with significant experience in employee relations, recruitment and staff development. Laura is responsible for both the strategic and administrative roles in the areas of human resources.

Helena Holtkoetter is the former HR Development Specialist and Training Coordinator for Georg Fischer Automotive. While at Georg Fischer Automotive, she served as the process owner of worldwide talent management and success planning, as well as a professional development advisor for both supervisors and employees. She holds certificates as a FranklinCovey 7 Habits Facilitator and as an Insights Discovery Practitioner. In addition to her rich background of skills and experience, Helena offers an engaging and energizing approach that quickly helps her audiences to feel comfortable and confident in her ability to help them grow. Helena will join us in November to serve as an instructor for Franklin Covey’s 7 Habits.
