Faculty and Staff Giving
Stephanie Kanupp and Ben Kish, 2015-2016 Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign Co-Chairs
In 2014-2015, $28,058.76 was raised by our very generous employees. By making a gift to Blue Ridge Community College Educational Foundation, you will be taking an extra step that further helps us realize the College’s vision of providing programs of excellence in academics and training that foster economic vitality in our community.
Let's challenge ourselves to stand together, as a College family, to help change the lives of our students by supporting our Foundation. Even a small monthly donation of $5 can lift students up to achieve their dreams of a better life through education.
Remember that this tax-deductible donation can be given monthly through payroll deduction, and allows our Foundation to support scholarships, work-study programs, purchase new equipment for our classrooms, and fund faculty professional development.
Let's show our community partners that WE will take the first step, and that their contribution, together with ours, can change lives!
What the Foundation Can Do for the College
In fulfilling its mission, the Foundation provides financial assistance to students through scholarships, a work-study program, and emergency loans and grants; purchases state-of-the-art equipment for use in classrooms; sponsors faculty development through special projects; enables the College to achieve its institutional effectiveness goals; provides start-up costs for new programs; and solicits monies for other projects on campus. Private support through the Foundation enables Blue Ridge Community College to keep pace with the educational changes occurring in its service area and in the lives of its students, faculty and staff, and the citizens it serves.
Even though the Foundation is a separate, legal entity, it serves as a vessel for broadening support for the College through the involvement of its stakeholders who share in the College's mission and vision.
Help to create another success story today with your check, pledge, or payroll deduction through the Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign!
