How to Apply
Beginning March 13, 2017, students applying for admission, transfer, or readmission to any N. C. community college or university must establish residency using a Residency Determination Service (RDS) application. This service will enable students to use one in- or out-of-state residency determination for admissions applications to multiple North Carolina colleges and universities and to demonstrate residency for financial aid consideration.
To apply for admission to Blue Ridge Community College, follow these easy steps:
1. Complete the admissions application.
2. Request official transcripts
Request an official copy of high school, high school equivalency/Adult High School, and any college (optional) transcripts.
Transcripts should be sent to the attention of the Registrar's Office at the following address:
Attention Registrar, Blue Ridge Community College, 180 W. Campus Dr., Flat Rock, NC 28731.
BRCC cannot accept unofficial or unsealed copies.
Note: Health Care programs (i.e., Nursing, surgical technology) require all previous transcripts.
3. Take the Pre-Enrollment Placement Test.
Meet with an Admissions Counselor to determine your placement testing needs and sign up for a testing session.
